Thermoplastic Obturation Techniques
The success of a root canal depends on how well the empty space is sealed. Traditional cold filling methods can leave tiny gaps where bacteria might survive. We use Thermoplastic Obturation, a technique where the filling material (gutta-percha) is heated until it becomes flowable. This allows it to adapt perfectly to the irregular shapes of the root canal system. Under pressure, the warm material flows into lateral canals, fins, and microscopic irregularities that standard cones cannot reach. This creates a dense, three-dimensional seal that effectively blocks bacterial re-entry. By achieving a hermetic seal throughout the entire root system, we significantly increase the long-term prognosis of the treated tooth.
