Emergency Root Canal for Acute Pain
There is no pain quite like the throb of an infected tooth nerve (pulpitis). Our Emergency Root Canal service is designed to stop this pain immediately. The priority in this visit is not necessarily to finish the root canal, but to relieve the pressure. Under effective local anesthesia, we create an opening in the tooth to allow the inflammation to drain and remove the infected nerve tissue. We irrigate the inside of the tooth with soothing disinfectants and place a sedative temporary filling. This instantly alleviates the pressure and the pain. You will leave the clinic comfortable, with a follow-up appointment scheduled to complete the shaping and filling of the canals once the acute inflammation has subsided.
