Child Enamel Hypersensitivity Management
Some children suffer from enamel defects like MIH (Molar Incisor Hypomineralization), making their teeth incredibly sensitive to cold air or sweet foods. Our management service aims to desensitize these teeth and strengthen the weak enamel. We identify the affected teeth and apply specialized varnishes containing calcium, phosphate, and fluoride (like CPP-ACP). These materials help to plug the microscopic tubules in the tooth that transmit pain and remineralize the soft enamel surface. We also provide parents with specific advice on toothpastes and diet to minimize discomfort. By managing sensitivity early, we allow the child to brush effectively without pain, preventing the rapid decay often associated with these fragile teeth.
